JCee Colon first Salsa single ¨Quiero Ser Campeón¨

Jose Raul Colon, AKA JCee Colon was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico but spent much of his life in New York, having the opportunity to experience both cultures, the island and the concrete jungle. In Puerto Rico he learned and listened to all the sounds of salsa, bolero and folk music. In the 80's he began to be a DJ, taught by El Unico DJ Edwin Santana, one of the favorites of the Puerto Rican club “The Flying Saucer”, in Isla Verde, being a regular in the salsa scene of that time working as a DJ and promoter. On the other hand, also raised in New York, he had the experience of listening to and taking to the street all kinds of dance including break dance, Hip Hop and Freestyle.

When he moved to Florida JCee continued to build relationships in the world of salsa, as a promoter he began to meet people like Maestro Ernesto ¨Tito¨ Rivera, Mike Rivera, Jesús Manuel Martínez, Daniel Peña, Josué Rodríguez, José Ruiz, Julián Cifuentes , Andy Guzmán, Hiram Rivera "El Típico", Franco Jiménez and several great musicians from South Florida.

His passion for this genre led him to create his own orchestra, in 2017 he formed ¨Zalsa en Control¨ with musical director Tito Rivera, who worked with Frankie Ruiz, Anthony Cruz, Orquesta Mulense, Victor Manuelle, among others, and 11 musicians. experienced musicians from Puerto Rico, Cuba, Venezuela and Peru with great success in their presentations and after accompanying the orchestra on stages in Florida for 5 years, JCEE Colon now opens his new stage as solo salsa singer with the autobiographical song ¨Quiero Ser Campeón ¨ to give the public joy and emotion for a good dance.

The new generation of salsa is born here, JCee Colón, with a warm and unique voice will sing the stories of life that happen to us daily, but with a different instrumentation, achieving a more modern salsa.
